HW #28

To Yuuki,
I agree with your ideas and your approach towards Morrie's situation. If i were dying i would also want ti take advantage of all the time that i had left however, i woulod still be optimistic. Optimism is a holistic method, like "rest" where one relies on natural methonds to be cured or just continue surviving. Morrie definatly took this idea ion and used it well. He lived up every last moment he had prior to his death. That is what i would like to do as well.

To Ally,
I agree completely. I do not understand why the government is so against it, it will benifit everyone except the health insurance companies, who are not even in the buisness for the right reasons anymore. I found it interesting the point that "Hillary Clinton at one point wanted universal health care but was paid off so she shut up." I found this to be a very powerful and direct example of how the world revolves around money. The insurance companies do not want the people to be healthy they just want money. The same with the government. Now, even the people who have beliefs and attempt to stand for them are unable to, as a result of money.

To Rossi,
Although living basically all my life in the USA, I was born in the carribbean where healthcare was also free. Personally, I've accepted the fact that healthcare is costly even having medical coverage. However, I do believe that not having coverage would be an unbareable expense, so I'm grateful that my family and I have it. I sometimes wonder if countries offering free healthcare lack in modern technology and practices due to a lack in funding, as i'm sure that industry is not generating as much money as it would in the US.
